Kristen L. Shimer - Staff Accountant

Kristen joined our firm in January 2009 as a tax season intern and worked with us throughout college.  She is now a full-time staff accountant with the company.  As a staff accountant, her responsibilities include preparing individual, partnership, corporation, fiduciary, trust and estate tax returns, performing audits as part of the Audit team, financial statement preparation, as well as working with clients to resolve other tax and accounting issues. 

Kristen has a Bachelor’s of Science in Accountancy. Kristen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA).

Kristen is married and has one child and two Boykin Spaniels. When away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and attending sporting events.
